Welcome to Lion Country!

I am Rose Campbell, Assistant Principal of Instruction at Lake Joy Elementary. A proud graduate of Northside High School, I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, as well as my Master's in Education Administration from Georgia College and State University. My Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership was earned from Columbus State University. In 2004, I achieved National Board Certification.
During my 21 years as an educator, I have taught all elementary grade levels. In 1998, I obtained my gifted certification and served gifted and talented students. My Houston County experience includes teaching third grade at Parkwood Elementary before moving to third grade at Lake Joy in 2003. For the 2006-2007 school year, I served as the Math Early Intervention Specialist.

Instilling a love of learning to my teachers, students and their families is my focus. I strongly believe that I have been placed at Lake Joy Elementary to motivate and inspire teachers to implement cutting edge teaching practices in order to produce higher achieving students.

My husband Bill Campbell and I have three wonderful children: Will, age 20; Kathryn, age 16; and Ellis, age 7. I like to travel to new places. The beach, any beach, is my favorite vacation getaway. Reading is a passion of mine and you can often find me relaxing. . . curled up with a good book.

An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it. --Bill Bernbach
