I promise to serve the students, teachers, and parents of our Lake Joy community each and every day with a positive attitude and dedication. My goal is to continue to pursue and maintain the excellence that Lake Joy represents in Houston County. Together we will work to ensure that the school’s mission and vision are carried out and that we provide the highest quality of education.
Before coming to Lake Joy in 2014, I served as Assistant Principal of Instruction at Morningside Elementary for six years. Prior to becoming an administrator, I taught for 16 years in classrooms ranging from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. My education background includes a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Presbyterian College; Master of Early Childhood, Master of Educational Leadership, and Specialist in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University; and a Doctorate in Leadership and Curriculum from Columbus State University.
As your leader, I promise to lead Lake Joy Elementary School to its highest educational potential. I promise to support the entire faculty and staff by providing enriching staff development, by delivering clear focus and direction, and by supplying all of the necessary resources that are needed to ensure that quality education is provided on a daily basis. I will defend and support all of the stakeholders in this school.
As your leader, I promise to be fully committed to getting the job done by setting and modeling high expectations in all daily operations. I promise to act in a professional manner and to create a school climate that is both inviting and receptive to all stakeholders. I promise that I will never settle for second best in anything that we do. I promise to treat each stakeholder with the utmost respect at all times. I will continue to move the faculty and staff forward in striving toward excellence. I will continue to grow as an educator through the use of current research and trends.
For the students and parents, I promise that we will not expect anything less than the best from any student within the building. Our vision is to create a school that is world-class. I am dedicated to providing an environment where faculty and staff can work ensure that all students are provided with a warm and conducive learning community. Our mission at Lake Joy Elementary is to assist all students in growing to reach their highest potential academically and socially.
