Hello, my Name is Dr. Kathy Thornton. I received my bachelor's degree from Albany State University, Master's degree from Troy University, and doctorate from Walden University. Although this is my 25th year of teaching, this is my 3rd year at Lake Joy Elementary. I enjoy reading, dancing, painting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I am married to Brian, and we have three children. They are Brian II (Fisk University), Byron (Tuskegee University), and Brianna (Houston County High School).
