Welcome! My name is Lori Lumpkin, and I am thrilled to be part of the Lake Joy Elementary community as an ESOL teacher. With a passion for language and cultural diversity, I am dedicated to helping students from various backgrounds achieve their academic goals and enhance their English language proficiency. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from California State University, Los Angeles. I furthered my education with a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix. Additionally, I have earned a Specialist degree in Elementary Education from Georgia Southwestern University. These academic experiences have equipped me with a deep understanding of language acquisition, pedagogy, and the unique needs of English language learners. With 20 years of teaching experience, I have had the pleasure of working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and varying levels of English proficiency. My teaching philosophy centers around creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed. I am excited to bring my expertise and enthusiasm to Lake Joy and look forward to working with the wonderful students and staff here. Together, we will achieve great things!
